Lobby and Curbside Pickup Instructions

The library is now open to the public on a limited basis for browsing, lobby services (copying, scanning, faxing), and computer use. To facilitate social distancing and reduce the potential spread of COVID, we’ve opened only a small number of computers and are limiting the amount of time users may spend in the library. We ask for your assistance in keeping our library safe: please use our mobile printing service whenever possible.

Follow the Mobile Printing Instructions below to send your documents from your phone or personal device to our printers. You can do this from any location with wi-fi or mobile data access. Call the library at 734-699-3291 to confirm we have received your documents and we’ll print them out for you. You may then pick up your documents from our lobby during the library’s open hours or schedule an appointment for curbside pickup.

Follow these steps:

  1. Refer to the Mobile Printing Instructions below to send your documents to our system. If you need help with this step, please call the library at (734) 699-3291 and our reference staff will walk you through it.
  2. Call to confirm we have your documents. When you call, we’ll print your documents and secure them in an envelope with your name. You can choose to pick up your documents from our lobby or to schedule an appointment for curbside pickup.
  3. Pick up your documents.
    • If picking up from our lobby, please keep in mind:
      • The library’s current hours of operation are 11 am – 8 pm Monday and Thursday, and 11 am – 6 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
      • You must wear a mask or face covering over your mouth and nose while in the building.
      • We are limiting the number of people allowed in the building and ask visitors to limit their visit to 30 minutes or less.
    • If you chose curbside pickup:
      • Drive up to the library’s Main Entrance from 4th street during your scheduled pickup time. Remain in your car!
      • Give us a call when you arrive at 734-699-3291, and a staff member will deliver the envelope containing your documents to our pickup table. Once they’ve given you a wave and returned to the building, please pick up your envelope from the table.
