Homegrown Speaker Series

2nd Thursday of each month

7 pm

Knowledgeable local speakers will give presentations on a variety of topics from local environment concerns to arts and local history. A "Homegrown Travel" series will give audience members a free trip around the world in the midst of the dreary Michigan winter.

Friends Meetings

The Friends of the Library Board meets on the following dates from 10:00 -- 11:30 am.
Meetings are open to members and the public so all are encouraged to attend. 

The next meeting is February 11, 2012.

Used Book Sales
Normal Prices:
  • $1.00 for hardcovers
  • 50 cents for paperbacks and children's hardcover
  • 25 cents for romances and children's paperbacks

Note: There is an ongoing selection of used books available for sale in the entrance of the library. Members of the Friends of the Library also have continuous access to the books in the program room.

To become a member, print out the application, fill it out, and mail it to the address in the application or drop it off at the library with your check.

Donate Books

The Friends accept donations of "gently" used books, DVD videos, music CDs, and audiobooks.  Just bring your donations to the Circulation Desk.  If you would like a receipt for tax purposes, please note how many items you are donating.

Sorry, but we cannot accept:

  • Books that are damaged, mildewed, stained, or musty
  • Textbooks more than 3 years old
  • Reader's Digest Condensed books
  • Encyclopedia sets
